Do’s and don’ts when photographing quilts….
(This came from a speaker at the Houston Quilt Show)

• Hang quilts on a neutral wall or background
• Do not lay the quilt over pieces of furniture or on a bed.
• Do not have distracting objects around the quilt that draw the eye away from your main focus.
• Learn how to crop your picture using available photo software programs on your computer.
• Make sure your camera is focused.
• Check lighting, natural or artificial.
• Set your camera to it highest resolution.
• Shoot straight.
• Check to make sure your photographs color matches your quilt.
