Rules:
Open to current members of the Homspun Quilt Guild.
Criteria:
Minimum of three motifs pieced into the quilt that reflect the theme.
Machine, hand pieced, appliqued or any combination or any one.
Machine, hand or tie quilted.
Any shape.
Must be finished.
Must have a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt.
Name must be written/sewn on the back of the quilt.
Must be a first time entry for the quilt.
Judging Criteria:
Overall visual impact
Interpretaton of the theme
Inclusion of design
Workmanship: of piecing, quilting, finishing
Three judges from the community who are not members of the Guild to select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place quilts.
Prizes will be given.
Winning quilts will be displayed at the 2006 Quilt Show.
By entering the challenge the member understands that the Homespun Quilt Guild will take every reasonable precaution to protect the quilt and that the Guild cannot be responsible for acts beyond their control.
